Scopa!!!

Scopa is a traditional Italian card game played with a 40-card deck, usually in two players (this version) but it can also be played in teams. The goal is to capture cards from the table and score points based on specific rules.

At the beginning of the game, each player is dealt three cards, and four cards are placed face-up on the table. On their turn, a player plays one card from their hand. If the card matches in value with a card on the table, or with the sum of multiple cards, those cards are captured and added to the player’s pile. If no capture is possible, the card remains on the table.

Special points are awarded for:

• Scopa (Sweep): clearing all cards from the table in a single move.

• Settebello: capturing the Seven of Coins.

• Most Cards: capturing the majority of total cards.

• Most Coins: capturing the majority of Coins suit cards.

• Primiera: having the best combination of high-value cards across all suits, based on a special ranking system.

The game continues until all cards in the deck have been played. At the end, points are calculated, and the player (or team) that reach 11 points and with the highest score (if all get over 11) wins the match.
